The Rev. Dr. Richard Laribee, Interim Rector

Rev. Laribee (Rick) is retired but has most recently been serving as the Rector of Christ Church, West River, MD. Prior to that he has served parishes in Maryland and Watertown, NY and was asst. professor of humanities in Sulaimania, Iraq.  He has extensive experience as a leader of mission trips and pilgrimages. Rick describes himself as a “passionate traveler” having explored and photographed natural, cultural, historical and religious sites throughout the world. His interests include Christian spiritual disciplines and practices, especially the contemplative disciplines. Rick and his wife, Kim, have family in the Syracuse area.

The Rev. Keisha Stokes, Pastoral Associate 

​

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Keisha joined the St. John's staff in October 2020. She also serves as the Rector of Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra. She is a 2020 graduate of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. At St. John's, Rev. Keisha is helping with programming for families and children in addition to assisting liturgically.

Daniel Chang, Organist and Choir Director

A native of San Francisco, California, Daniel Chang is a Master’s degree candidate in the studio of David Higgs. He began his music studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Preparatory Department where he studied composition with Michael Kaulkin and piano with June Choi Oh. He continued his education at the San Francisco Conservatory for a B.M.A. in composition studying composition with David Conte and piano with Alla Gladysheva.
While at the Conservatory, Daniel participated in numerous masterclasses by leading composers, including John Adams, and also attended the European American Musical Alliance in Paris, France where he studied with composer Narcis Bonet. After graduating from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Daniel began studying organ under the direction of Simon Berry and served as organ scholar at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in San Francisco.
We at
St. John’s have been enjoying his talented organ and piano accompaniment since September 2016.
